Following donations and grants received from local organisations and supporters, Radio Horton is the proud owner of a brand new outside events trailer.
Chair – Ann Dunn – said “We would like to thank all those that made this purchase possible – Banbury Cherwell Rotary Club, The John Lewis Partnership and Banbury Charities, as well as a local family Trust that made a very generous donation.
We also thank one of our own members, Bill Warren, who donated £2,000 to cover the sign writing and electrical costs.
This trailer enables Radio Horton to raise much needed funds, by providing music and public address services at local events. With the exception of the Oxford University Hospitals Trust kindly providing space to have our studios, we are entirely reliant on fundraising ourselves to meet our outgoings. With licences, insurance, software, equipment and media and mareting costs, we need to raise a minimum of £5,000 per annum”.
Keep a look out for the new trailer as Radio Horton will be out and about in the town over the coming weeks! We will be at the Winter Festival in the Market Place, Banbury on Friday 28th and Saturday 29th November, and then, in December, we will be at local supermarkets and retail parks, playing festive tunes.
Currently we are storing the trailer in a secure location outside, but ideally we would love to find a dry secure storage facility.
If you know of any suitable location that might be available in Banbury, Radio Horton would love to hear from you (contact- [email protected]).
