Radio Horton was launched on the 7th July 1964 by local journalists, Ted Hanson MBE and Graham Wilton.

A registered charity, the objectives of Radio Horton is to relieve sickness, infirmity & disabilities attendant on old age amongst persons living in Banbury & the surrounding area, by providing a local broadcasting service for hospitals, hospices, residential homes & similar institutions, & wherever possible, providing a similar service within the local community to assist patients receiving “Care in the Community”.

We provide a variety of programming to suit our diverse range of listeners at the Horton General Hospital in Banbury, Oxfordshire and offer a unique health focussed output to people in our local community including in care homes and hospices.
