Radio Horton is delighted to be broadcasting from this year’s Fairport Cropredy festival – in the group’s special 50th year (and the event’s 37th)!
Tickets have sold out, but don’t fear, the station will be there recording and interviewing various artists over the three day music festival from 10th – 12 August, so you can be right at the heart of this legendary event.
Headliners include: Petula Clarke, The Divine Comedy, Richard Thompson, The Trevor Horne Band, Quill, Marillion and many more – and of course the legends that are Fairport Convention!
Radio Horton will be located right next to the main stage, on hand to interview the bands who will be playing to a 20,000 strong crowd of music lovers. This is a very special year for the annual event as it celebrates its 50th birthday (35th at Cropredy) – and Radio Horton celebrates its 53rd! The family friendly festival has a laid back and friendly feel, specialising in music that’s all about fun and positivity.
Tune in on 8th August at 7.30pm-10pm to hear Jon Cox on the Horton Hits show giving more information about this year’s Fairport Cropredy Convention – ahead of the festival. Jon will be playing tunes from the artists on the line-up and taking requests.
Don’t forget to look out for the Radio Horton team at the event – we’d love you to get involved and tell us how much you’re enjoying the festival and who your favourite acts are. We’ll be in our distinctive blue shirts interviewing various members of the crowd, so watch out for Anthony Brown, Lisa Simmons, Tom Wilson and Graham Rousell.
See you there!
