Radio Horton once again had the pleasure of supporting the annual Broughton Castle Sportive in providing entertainment to cyclists, their friends and families. Now in its third year, the 2015 Sportive comprised of four exhilarating routes developed by the Banbury Star Cyclists Club, designed to give bikers the opportunity to put their strengths and abilities to the test, including a 100-mile route, the ‘Mondelez Monster’. The Sportive is hosted at Broughton Castle, located in the picturesque Oxfordshire countryside, five miles west of Banbury.
James Hulbert: “We are delighted to continue to support the Broughton Castle Sportive.”
The annual event is organised by Banbury STAR and the Rotary Club of Banbury Cherwell in association with Broughton Castle, and 2015 saw one of the highest admissions of cyclists. Proceeds and funds raised from the cycling event were donated to a number of local charities and organisations.
Speaking at a presentation on 26th August at Broughton Castle, in which Radio Horton were donated £200 from the organisers, member James Hulbert said: “We are delighted to continue to support the Broughton Castle Sportive and provide cyclists and spectators with music and entertainment after what can be a rather challenging journey. We thank you for your continued support, and look forward to seeing you next year.”
